AIS/JHU students win Verizon's innovative App competition

Make this a homepage announcement?:

Congratulations to the students of AIS/JHU and Shiva Reddy for winning Verizon's Innovative App Challenge competition (state, regional, AND national)!

Under Siva Reddy's leadership, a group of six students from the JHU site of AIS entered and won a competition by Verizon to propose an "innovative App" idea. Their app was called "AutBuddy" for assisting autistic children.   (This is the first time Verison has opened this compeition to non-profits.)

From Verizon about the state competition: "We received more than 1,200 app concept submissions in this highly competitive contest. You and your students should be proud of your hard work and innovation!"  See for more information.
